Did a lot of research on projector screens as we looked at getting rid of our TV in the living room and replace it with a projector system. Our living room gets a lot of light from windows and a door that leads out to our deck, so we decided to place the projector screen in front of that set of doors and windows to block out light while watching TV. When the screen is up, it's hidden by curtains. This screen has been great for that use! We simply have it automatically come down and it blocks out pretty much all of the light from behind, allowing for a pretty decent picture during the day from our Epson 2150 projector. At night things are even better, of course. Our screen arrived in excellent condition - we don't see any waves anywhere or curling at the edges. The motor is not the most silent thing in the world, but it's quiet enough to not wake anyone up at night when lowering or raising the screen. It's not the fastest at raising or lowering the screen, but it certainly doesn't take more time than it would for the projector to warm itself up and get a picture out. The remote is basic but it works, although there are times when it has a clear line of sight to the IR receiver and doesn't respond. For backup, we did install the wall switch included in the package by simply taping it onto the wall with Command strips. You can change the drop distance on this screen - from the factory, it's set to drop the maximum it can, which was quite a lot more than we had expected. You just have to find an Allen key that fits (5/32") into a couple of adjustment switches on the left side of the screen (looking from the front). Instructions are available online, or by e-mailing or calling Elite Screens. They said we would have to remove a sticker to access the switches, but I did not have to. Just a few turns of the adjustment switch had it exactly where we needed it. Installation was pretty easy for the most part, aside from some user error. We mounted ours directly on the wall, and the screen itself comes out very close to flush with the wall, so we had to tack on a couple of 2x4s behind the mounting points to prop the screen out of the wall a bit more, or it would have hit the trim on the door on the way down each time. I do wish they had provided exact measurements for the distance between the mounting holes with the instructions, but that's easy enough to measure. I was worried that the method for mounting to the wall would not be very secure, but it's firmly in and not moving at all. Overall, this is a great entry-level screen. I'm sure there are many others out there that are better but I'm also sure they cost a lot more. For our use and our first foray into home theaters, this is perfect and we're very happy with it!

I originally purchased a no name brand pull down screen when I first got my projector. The plan was to use the new projector and screen in my multi use room with an 85” TV. I wanted a theater experience when watching movies and still be able to watch other content on 85” TV. Though the experience was immersive it was not satisfying, with the waves on the screen, and it just didn't seem clear and I wanted an electric screen that I could retract when not need from my seat. I was again researching the world of cheap no name brands. Even though they seem to meet my requirements, I was concerned they would have some of the same viewing issues the previous screen had. I then thought I would look into Elite Screens, knowing they have a great reputation in the industry. I didn’t think Elite Screen would be affordable and I was wrong about that. I purchased the ELECTRIC100H and have to say for the price this is an excellent screen. The motor works silently and the picture on the screen is night and day about the non-brand screen it replaced. Colors are sharper and the detail is clearer. It cost a few dollars more than the non-brand electric screens I was looking at, but you can’t beat the quality of the Elite Screens.

As for the functionality of the screen. It has worked like a charm from the day I installed it back in 2018 and continues to work flawlessly to this day. We use it about 3-4 times per week, and we roll it down and back up every time. The remote works fine as long as you point it to the screen, and I don't think I have even had to change the battery yet. The sound of the motor has not changed, and there is no indication that anything is failing. It really does work like the day that I got it. To install it, I added an electrical outlet to the ceiling and then added two 2x4s between the joists in the attic to bolt the screen in to. Bolting the screen really was a breeze, but I did need my wife to hold one side while I bolted the first side. The picture quality was and still is amazing compared to what we were using before. I have a BenQ Ht1070 projector and the image quality was night and day after I installed the new screen. We have kept the screen very clean. There really is no reason to touch it so I have not wiped it down except when I first installed it. We generally watch a movie and then immediately roll it back up. No real opportunity for damage or to get dirty. The only thing that I wish was different from the experience was the plastic smell in the first few weeks of owning it. It smelled like a cheap pool toy for about 3 weeks. During that time I left the screen down and opened the window to allow the gases to air out. I would say that the smell is probably unavoidable with anything made out of plastic or pvc, so I do not fault Elite for that. It's like complaining about the smell of paint. It just is what it is, but it did linger for about 3 weeks to a month. It was strong at first and then at the end the smell began to fall off quicker and quicker. I would leave the window open as much as you can during this time though. Overall, I am extremely happy with our screen, and it has made a huge difference in our home theater experience. It still feels cool to hit the remote and see the screen slowly roll down. That's our cue to know that movie night is about to start and that is always a good feeling. I definitely recommend this screen if you want to upgrade your home theater impression and experience.

We loved having a projector and a giant screen to watch stuff on and play games! The mechanical feature on this was awesome, worked really well and super glad we bought it. The only thing I would say is it was pretty freaking large and pretty heavy so make sure you have the space and ability to bring it in or help to lift it and install it— it’s not a 1 man job.

I had an Elite screen that I bought in 2012 and it worked great forever until recently the motor failed and would no longer roll up but it had a great run and I loved it. I ordered basically the current version of the same model and have been very disappointed in the quality. the package arrived fine and the delivery was great but when I opened it up I found the build quality to be much lower than my previous screen. the end caps for the weighted bar at the bottom had come off and cracked in transit. As a result it seems the weight bar was not attached in any firm way to the screen. once I had it installed in the previous location I used the remote to drop the screen, because the bar was not perfectly centered one side was caught in the frame causing it to fall off angle and crease the screen. The material for the screen was also thinner and more flimsy than the previous version. Pretty bummed but the process to return would be such a hassle for a product this large that I already have hanging from my ceiling. I am going to try and hang a weight off one end to iron out the crease and just deal

The product itself came in good condition and I love it. The delivery was not as smooth. The company dropped my item off and I was supposed to be there. However, back to the product… I would suggest buying dry wall screws and using those to actually mount it to the wall. These screws stripped very easily. There was a part that came broken within my package, it was not a deal breaker by any means I got in touch with the company, filled out the form and they sent me a replacement part immediately. Overall, I would purchase from them again!

Screen has worked very well for 7 years. After the 5th year it developed 2 ripples that required me to hang 2.5 lb weights on the ends of the bar. Only noticeable without weights on 16x9 material and only when a line was supposed to be straight.

Great Screen, well packed for shipping and easy to install. I will recommend getting a bracket installation kits for drywall before hand. Screen is perfect for in-home theater set up! I've tried a couple other options before this one, manual pull down screen and just the screen projector fabric. This one is the best of all options.
