I love how easy it is to use, I just wish it was easier to buy the type of paper I need. I ordered some transparent film thinking I could use it as a giant sticker for decal but found out that I just spent around $100 for plastic that I have no use for. Also wished that it could print larger than 36" in length.

Very good packaging; arrived to residential address via Fedex Freight. Easy to unpack and set up. I use manually assigned IP addresses to all my printers and it was easy to configure using the small touch screen interface on the device. Only printed a few times so far, but as of now the quality is excellent and faster than the old DesignJet 500 it replaced. Also very quiet operation as well. For the money seems like a great plotter so far.

I run a commercial printing company and needed a quick and cheap solution to printing standard ARCH D size (24 x 36) technical drawings and plans. I took a shot on this printer and it has not disappointed. I have fulfilled a number of orders for sets of plans and drawings and even printed some photo quality prints for a non-profit. The machine has already paid for itself 2x over in just a month of use. The print quality is what you can expect from an inkjet printer in this price range and ink cartridge life seems to be pretty good. I have only had to replace the Black and Yellow introductory cartridges that came with the unit so far, and I have put over 500 ARCH D prints through the thing since buying it.

I have been pining for a plotter for years and this unit is awesome. Great value for the money and is everything I could have asked for. Super quiet and I have already gone through a 150' foot roll of paper, dozens of 11x17 sheets and I am still just on my starter print cartridges. So I would say that I am going to be really happy with the print cartridge to paper ratio. My experience with HP customer service was not great setting it up as I had a really odd exhibit that I just could not get rotated and had to cut the excess paper off by hand. That was truly frustrating but so far it is the only file / exhibit that has had that issue. I also purchased the multi feeder for single sheets. A really great option if you need it. When I meet clients on site I share the 11 x 17 which are not to scale but provide a "picture" for them to understand the site. In addition to the multi sheet feeder I also purchased the stand which is great if you need a place to put your plotter on but the sheet catcher is really BAD. It is basically a piece of fabric with a bar that catches what is printed but it does not collate the pages. So you are left with rolled up sheets that you have to collate by hand. So the stand is great but the sheet catcher needs more work in my opinion. The touch screen is very small but amazingly dynamic. I would be very surprised if this is not a product enhancement in future models. It actually plays videos of tasks right on the screen so you can make sure you are reloading the rolled paper for example corretly. Finally, anything that requires large numbers of copies or exact scalability I still send to my printer. My choice but I think if you are submitting plans to a Municipality this should be part of your consideration. I have not plotted anything in color on glossy paper to see what a "poster" would look like but my guess is that it would be really great as the color 11 x17 at the lowest print quality are far better than any HP desket that I have ever owned.

using the printer for architectural drawings. This printer has 1. Great print quality, 2. Decent printing speed and 3 compact size. I don’t have information as to how long the ink will last at this writing. so far so good.

Good value for money. Ideal for the use of a small architecture studio. Reduced size compared to other A1 printers.

Out of box setup was simple. A little tricky getting it to work with wireless. LAN was simple connection. Prints beautifully. We use this printer for standard architect drawings and we are very please with the product. We purchased the one with no legs and it sits nicely on an office credenza. Low profile and not in the way.
