Have had this screen for 2-3 weeks now, its huge! I bought the wall/ceiling mounting brackets and butted it right against the wall and ceiling so I could put screws in both for extra stability. Longest time was just measuring to make sure screen was as centered as possible to match with room and projector. Once brackets were installed you need an extra person to hold up the other end and use the clips to hang the projector. From there you just plug it in and remote works immediately. I did not do the wall switch install. My projector is mounted in my basement in front of daylight windows that face the north (no direct sunlight). That is the reason I wanted an electric projector so I wasn't always blocking the windows. From the side the ends curl in just a bit (1/2 - 1") which I think just happens due to being rolled up. But this is also the black part of the screen so you don't really notice on the picture. There is also some very slight wavy-ness, but nothing that is noticeable enough that I wouldn't recommend the screen. The primary reason I bought the projector is to watch sports in the basement with large groups, but have also watched TV shows and movies and looks really great. If you want a true cinema experience, you need a fixed projector or a flat wall, I don't think there is really going to be a drop down screen, especially one of this size that won't have some slight curling/wave. Really glad I went with this screen.

I was hesitant to buy this screen versus one with 24" header because I was concerned it would be too high in the room (9 foot ceiling). It fits perfect from ceiling to about 2.5 feet above the floor. This size will be slightly big for an 8-foot ceiling, so the perfect size if you like to go all out. The remotes are a bit weak with stock batteries. You are get both an IR (requires line of site) and an RF model. Lots of mounting hardware. I mounted to wall about 3" below ceiling on a slight angle -- looks great. You will need a space on the right side of the screen for the wall-mount control and power cord. You can leave these out of reach if needed, but I like wired option in general. Screen arrived double boxed with no damage. I met the delivery guy in the street as he was staring in the back of his truck for a few minutes on delivery day. It is a one-person carry, but it is awkward to move around in the box, which is almost 10 feet long. I like this one so much in the family room I'm going to get another one for the home office. This is the perfect beginner screen and price if you aren't ready to commit to $2000 for a tensioned model. It is also really impressive to wheel down in front of a 50" plasma.

Very convenient to have both Wireless, IR, and wall button controls included. I was able to mount the screen myself, it is reasonably light weight, just used a 6ft step ladder with a box on top to raise the opposite end for a bit. This is a fiberglass enhanced version and the screen flatness was very good even considering it has been sitting rolled up 'til now. There is a detectable slight waviness in the lower center portion, no curling on the edges noted. You can only see the slight waves with a flashlight from the side. Took pictures to compare it after it has had time to settle in. The picture looks sharp and clear. Using the fine 2 pixel wide focus pattern lines from the projector, you can walk up to it and see the line edges very clearly and easily. Been using it for a week and so far it looks like a great value and good results, would buy it again. I have a programmable URC Total Control Wi-Fi remote and MRX8 base unit and it has drivers for the VMax series screen which was a pleasant surprise. Picture shows the newly installed Vmax 2 screen in a 14.5ft wide room with 8ft ceiling. Bookcases will be moved behind the screen otherwise would have installed a fixed wall mount. Projector is 20ft away (Epson HC 4010) running in eco mode and full brightness modes are too bright in our dark windowless media room.

Installation was easy enough with three people. The screen has a black leader at the top to move the picture away from the ceiling. Very quiet operation.

Overall, good value if you need a motorized screen. If you can do without motorized, I would recommend the fixed frame screens instead - cheaper, more reliable, and can be tensioned much more easily.
